An October 2017 hunting trip in the Red Lake area has ended up costing a pair of southern Ontario men.
Terry Petropoulos of Markham has been told to pay $4,200 for hunting a bull moose without a licence, shooting across a roadway and allowing a moose to become unsuitable for human consumption.
He has been banned from hunting for one-year.
Leo Cossetto of Newmarket has been fined $1,000 for hunting moose without a licence.
The fines are the result of a conservation blitz to address party hunting violations and unsafe hunting from roadways.
