Dryden Police Issue Scam Warnings

Dryden Police are warning the public about a Ransomware scam.

Some local residents are reporting emails received stating that their computer passwords have been obtained.

The sender asks for money and threatens sensitive and embarrassing information about the victims will be sent to their contact and business lists.

Police remind the public to not release financial information to someone you do not know.

Meantime, police say there are individuals and groups in town trying to sell so-called authentic high karat gold.

Police say the jewelry is fake.
