The second round of the SIJHL playoffs are set. The Wisconsin Wilderness have chosen to play the Thunder Bay North Stars which sets up the age old rivalry of Dryden and Fort Frances in the SIJHL semi-finals. The Ice Dogs and Lakers will meet in a best of seven series with a trip to the finals on the line. Fort Frances finished 1 point ahead of the Ice Dogs in the regular season but Dryden won 8 out of their 12 meetings outscoring the Lakers 49-38. Fort Frances holds home ice advantage with the series is expected to begin Friday in Borderland.
