Flyers Fall In Double OT

The Sioux Lookout Flyer season came to a heartbreaking end as they fell 4-3 in double overtime in Thunder Bay Saturday night. With the win the Thunder Bay North Stars take the best of seven first round series 4 games to 1. The Flyers held a 3-1 lead midway through the third but couldn’t hold off the Stars who tied the game with just over 5 minutes left in regulation. Riley Marsh scored at the 6:58 mark of the second overtime for the win. Chase Dobranski, Jacob Nolan and Darnell Ferland scored for the Flyer. Jesse Wilkins faced 49 shots in the loss. Thunder Bay and Dryden will now wait for the Wisconsin Wilderness to pick their opponent for the second round beginning sometime this week.
