Thunder Bay’s Carter Hutton is nominated for the Bill Masterton Trophy in the NHL.
The Professional Hockey Writers’ Association is behind the nominations for the memorial award that’s given each year to the player who shows the qualities of perseverance, sportsmanship and dedication to the sport.
Hutton is in his third season with the Nashville Predators.
Hutton is one of the most successful goalies to come out of the Superior International Junior Hockey League.
He played in 46-games with the Fort William North Stars from 2004-2006 and recorded a 43-1 record in regular season play.
