Dryden’s Joe Carney has been suspended one game by the SIJHL.
Carney will have to miss Friday’s game against Thunder Bay due to a check from behind Saturday in Fort Frances.
Carney wasn’t penalized on the play but still faced disciplinary action following a review.
Meantime, Nick Minerva of the Fort Frances Lakers has also been suspended one game.
He was handed a match penalty for spearing near the end of the Saturday game on Ice Dogs forward Nic Noseworthy.
