A 19-year-old forward with the Thunder Bay North Stars is this years winner of the Superior International Junior Hockey League Scholastic Player of the Year.
Hunter Foreshew receives the honour for his achievements in the classroom and on the ice.
Foreshew was an honour roll student all throughout high school and earned one of two Hockey Canada Nickerson Family Awards for academic excellence.
The product of North Bay has been accepted to attend Lakehead University in Thunder Bay this September with a major in Accounting.
In his first season with the North Stars, he collected 13 goals, 27 assists and 40 assists in 38 games.
