SIJHL Rep at Dudley Hewitt Cup

A humbling experience for the Wisconsin Wilderness in their first Dudley Hewitt Cup.

The SIJHL Champs fell to the Tournament Favourite Wellington Dukes 7-2 in the opening game of the Cup this afternoon (Tuesday) in Huntsville.

The Wilderness fell behind 6-0 before Tom Paine and Derek Tylka found the back of the net in the third.

Wellington outshot Wisconsin 19-14.

SIJHL Playoff MVP John McLean was in net for six of the Dukes goals.

The Wilderness will take on the host Otters Wednesday night.
