SIJHL Suspends Three Ice Dogs Players

The Dryden GM Ice Dogs will be shorthanded when they return to the ice.

The disciplinary action stems from last Saturday’s game between the Ice Dogs and Red Lake Miners.

Forward’s Connor Mowatt and Malcolm Huemmert have both been suspended two games.

Mowatt was disciplined by the SIJHL for a major cross-checking and game misconduct penalty.

Huemmert received his suspension for a second goaltender interference call in the same game and for other actions.

Defenceman Dawson Boehm has been handed a one game ban for a third period incident in the Dryden penalty box.

The Ice Dogs have also been fined an undisclosed amount of cash for incidents of unsportsmanlike conduct during the game.

Dryden GM and the Miners renew their rivalry Friday at the Memorial Arena.
