Single Vehicle Crash Leads to Major Find in Ignace

The OPP held a Press Conference Thursday morning to reveal details surrounding a major seizure of cash, drugs and a weapon just outside Ignace.
OPP were called to a single vehicle crash on Highway 17 in Burk Township.
Police say they uncovered in excess of three quarters of a million dollars in cash, a prohibited firearm and $100 worth of prescription drugs.
OPP say 30-year-old Seyed Jamal Hamidi of Langley, B.C. was arrested.
He faces several possession charges including controlled substance, property obtained by crime, prohibited firearm, restricted firearm and ammunition.
Hamidi has also been charged with laundering proceeds of crime.
