The Chief Administrative Officer for the Municipality of Sioux Lookout is announcing her resignation.
Ms. Ann Mitchell says her last day with the Municipality will be May 15th.
Mitchell says it has been an honour and a pleasure to serve the Municipality and the broader community over the last six years.
She also adds that the community is fortunate to have a highly skilled and committed management team, and their front line staff play a key role in ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of programs and services to the community.
Mayor Doug Lawrance says Mitchell has contributed greatly to the Municipality’s success over the last six years, availing the organization of her strong leadership and ongoing commitment to administrative excellence.
Lawrance also says her leadership and advice to council on a wide array of subjects and issues has been instrumental in helping council make well-informed decisions.
He mentions that he wishes Mitchell the very best in her future endeavours.
Sioux Lookout council will be considering its options for replacing Ann Mitchell in the coming weeks.
No reason was provided for the resignation.
