Sioux Lookout Committee Looking To Address Racism

The Sioux Lookout Anti-Racism Committee is trying to unite everyone in a bid to end discrimination and racial profiling in surrounding communities.

A public meeting is being held Friday night at 7:00 at the St. Andrew’s Church Hall.

Committee Chair Yolaine Kirlew says they want feedback on what needs to be done to address racism.

Kirlew notes they have introduced a recent strategic plan but they want feedback to ensure it is meeting current needs.

Kirlew stresses “their town is for all people and for all people to do well, to be accepted and to be encouraged and allowed to strive in life”.
