Sioux Lookout Fire Update

More than 200 firefighters from Ontario, Alberta, B.C. and Saskatchewan continue to battle a massive blaze north of Sioux Lookout.
MNR Information Officer Dave Jackson says heavy rain has helped and says the worst of the smoke in the community appears to be over.
Jackson says they are targeting the south and southwest flanks and the north and east flanks with ground crews.
He says they are making progress however the 31,000 hectare fire is still not under control.
Jackson says the public can now use Deception Bay on Lac Seul, however Vermilion River Road remains closed.
