Municipal leaders in Sioux Lookout believe they were heard by the provincial government at the Rural Ontario Municipal Association Conference.
Mayor Doug Lawrance and Chief Administrative Officer Ann Mitchell spoke to nine provincial ministers about the needs of their community.
Lawrance said health care was a major concern as he brought up the lack of beds in their area to the Health Minister.
Speaking to the Ministry of the Attorney General he discussed having a Crown Attorney permanently based in Sioux Lookout with all the necessary administrative and facility supports.
He also says it is good to attend these conferences and making sure the needs of Sioux Lookout can be heard.
