Provincial Police in Sioux Lookout have arrested a local driver who was found to have three times the legal limit of blood alcohol content.
Around 11:30 a.m. this morning (Thursday May 13) OPP officers responded to a report of an impaired driver in the Municipality of Sioux Lookout.
Police found the vehicle and the driver, a Sioux Lookout resident, was arrested and charged with:
- Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs, contrary to Criminal Code Section 320.14 (1)(a), and
- Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration 80 plus, contrary to Criminal Code Section 320.14 (1)(b).
The accused has been released on an Undertaking and will appear in the Sioux Lookout Court at a later date to answer to the charges.
No name has been released by police.
