Sioux Lookout and Atikokan are set to receive even more hydro relief.
That’s according to Atikokan Mayor Dennis Brown, who says the total break may total 35%-40%.
The provincial government has already promised a 25% cut in rates later this year.
Brown says the two municipalities have been deemed Small, Remote, Rural communities by the Ontario Liberals.
He says no explanation was given, but he believes it’s due to the historically high costs of operating their system.
