A costly lesson for a local hunter.
The Ministry of Natural Resources say a hunter was stopped last month in the Sioux Narrows area with a white-tailed deer fawn on the rack of his snowmachine he was riding.
The MNR says the man had an antlerless game seal for the area, but the problem was, he failed to attach it to the animal.
Christopher Frenette of Sioux Narrows was hit with an $800 fine and was forced to forfeit the deer to the Crown.
