2013 is starting off in the town of Sioux Narrows-Nestor Falls with some uncertainty about its policing situation.
Initially, the municipality indicated it wanted to cancel its contract with the Ontario Provincial Police and opt for a call for service.
However, Mayor Bill Thompson says the OPP have come back with a lower contract figure, but they want to weigh their options first.
An Ontario Auditor General report has raised questions about the increasing cost for OPP service, while crime rates are actually falling in the province.
