The Sioux Lookout Meno-Ya-Win Health Centre marked a major milestone
Wednesday with an elaborate site dedication.
The dedication marks more than 10-years of planning with the town,
28-First Nations and both levels of government.
The new 140,000 square foot state-of-the art facility will offer
a number of services including mental health and addiction treatment, a CT
scan unit, visiting specialist clinic and traditional healing.
Cost estimates for the project are being finalized but are expected to
exceed $75-million.
Construction will likely begin next Spring and be completed in early
2010.
