The Ontario Special Investigations Unit is looking into an incident involving Provincial Police in Fort Frances.
A 28-year-old man suffered, what is being described as a serious injury, on July 3rd while awaiting a bail hearing.
The man had been taken into police custody earlier in the day.
The SIU has assigned three investigators to the case.
