Provincial Police in Atikokan have been cleared of any criminal wrongdoing following a Special Investigations Unit probe.
The SIU was contacted after an early December incident where a 24-year-old man was arrested and locked up for the night at the OPP detachment.
The man was released the next morning, but later went to hospital where he was diagnosed with a serious injury.
The SIU says it couldn’t find any evidence of an officer causing an injury.
