The Special Investigations Unit says the results are inconclusive into a police-shooting death of a Peterborough man south of Pickle Lake.
The agency examined the death of Levi Schaeffer, who was killed on June 24th.
Two officers were following-up on a criminal investigation.
OPP say when dealing with the man, a confrontation occurred, and a handgun belonging to an Officer went off.
The SIU found no basis for criminal charges against the unidentified OPP officer.
However, the SIU says notes made by police officers after the incident were not independent, nor written in a timely manner.
