The Northwestern Health Unit is reporting six new cases of COVID-19 Thursday.
Three cases are in the Sioux Lookout region, two new cases in the Kenora region and one new case in the Rainy River District.
The case in the Sioux Lookout region that was reported yesterday as temporary will now be included in health unit numbers based on updated information.
Follow up with all involved and their contacts has started according to protocol.
Anyone who is identified as a contact for these cases will be contacted directly.
As for the Thunder Bay District, the Thunder Bay Health Unit has confirmed 32 new cases today with 21 at the jail and two at the Correctional Centre.
Ontario is reporting 2 thousand and 93 new cases of the coronavirus today.
It puts daily case counts back above the 2-thousand mark, after the last three days saw numbers below it.
However, Thursday also saw more tests completed in the last week.
56 more deaths were reported.
