The Municipality of Sioux Lookout has started the 2014 budget process.
A public meeting was held at the Centennial Centre Wednesday and Mayor Dennis Leney says they didn’t receive a whole lot of input. He says there weren’t very many people who attended the meeting, so to him it sounds like people are happy with the way things are going and have been for the past 3-years.
Leney says they haven’t set any priorities right now but notes they do want to approve the budget by the end of the year.
Also at the meeting, staff outlined their strategic plan and Leney notes it will focus on youth, attracting more businesses and securing more long term care beds.
