Smaller Airports Will Receive No Added Security

Drydens Airport Manager is wondering why passengers flying out of smaller airports will have to pay a new security fee.
Starting April 1st, air travellers will have to cough up an extra 24 dollars per round trip.
The money will go towards enhanced security at Canadian airports.
However, George Friesen says there is no indication that smaller airports like Dryden will be included in new security plans.
Essentially, he says passengers will be paying for a service they will not receive.
Friesen adds the new fee will likely have a negative impact on air travel.
