After 14 months of work, the Smart Growth Panel has released its final report to the Provincial Government.
Dryden Mayor and Panel member Sid Wintle says their main recommendation is the twinning of Highway 17.
However, they also want the road networks from the Canada-U.S. border to Northern communities improved.
Other recommendations include a call for partnerships in forestry and making broadband widely available.
Developing a crown land process which encourages economic development but protects the environment is also a key point.
Municipal Affairs Minister David Young has accepted the report and will now take it back to the Eves Government for consideration.
