Cross country traffic was held up for a couple of hours again Sunday
nite.
This time though, it was not due to an accident but smoke from a
forest fire that forced Ontario Provincial Police to close Highway 17 just
west of Ignace.
Officials said conditions were worse than driving in a winter
blizzard.
The highway was re-opened around 8PM once the smoke cleared, no mishaps were reported.
MNR crews have since gained the upper hand on the blaze as well.
