Smoking Ban Implemented At Regional Hospital

Some important news for those who frequent the Thunder Bay Hospital and like to grab a smoke outside.
The hospital has banned smoking on all of its property.
An amendment to City smoking by-laws will allow hospital security personnel and Health Unit officers ticket anyone found smoking on the hospital grounds.
Hospital Spokesperson Tracie Smith says they’re not sure how much the fine will be at this time.
The Dryden Regional Health Centre has debated a similar move for years but has stuck with designated smoking areas outside the hospital.
