SNAP Program Benefiting Area Youth

The Keewatin-Patricia District School Board is applauding a new program for students at risk.

The public board has been working with Firefly on the “SNAP” program, which stands for Stop Now and Plan.

Cathy Lundin Neil from Firefly says they have enrolled almost 40 students since the program was launched in the fall.

She says SNAP is for kids who exhibit aggressive behaviour, have impulse control issues or problem-solving struggles.

Neil notes they are seeing benefits of the program at area schools.
