Canadian Forestry Workers are in Washington to lobby U.S. politicians for a fair, negotiated, softwood lumber agreement.
The delegation is headed by the United Steelworkers Union and plans to meet with several members of Congress and Senators who work on trade issues.
They will also meet with Canadian Ambassador David MacNaughton.
The group is hoping the talks will inform U.S. representatives of the realities of the Canadian forest industry and how important it is to work together.
