It took some time, but members of the NDP have now been sworn in at Queen’s Park.
That includes newcomer Sol Mamakwa who represents the new riding of Kiiwetinoong.
In addition to the traditional oath of office, Mamakwa pledged to respect the treaties signed with First Nations.
He also made his oath in Oji-Cree saying it’s his language and the language of many people in Ontario.
