A local fly-in camp owner believes Northwestern

Ontario’s future lies in the regions tourist operations.

Over 55-thousand dollars in Provincial funding has been

set aside for three regional camps to buy and install

solar power systems.

Eddie Showalter operates a fly-in service and outpost

near Ear Falls and says it’s about time the government

helped tourist operators.

Chimo Lodge near Red Lake received just over 33 thousand

dollars, while Green Island Lodge near Fort Francesx was

granted 25-thousand.
