The first quarter of 2017 was a pretty good one for Domtar.
The company is reporting net earnings of $20-million and total sales of $1.3-billion.
Earnings for the first quarter of 2016 were only $4-million.
Domtar President and Chief Executive Officer John Williams says their pulp business is growing and becoming more meaningful.
He notes they have shipped nearly 25% more tones when compared to the same quarter last year.
