Some Dryden Residents Upset With Decision

A group of about 25-people attended last night’s special council meeting and several in attendance were quite vocal about the tax hike during the hour long debate.
Cathy Hutchison says she can’t afford another increase.
Hutchison says those with higher valued homes already pay more for policing, fire and emergency services.
Hutchison stresses we should all be paying the same.
She believes council should have approved a 0% tax increase.
Hutchison says she’s already paying $7,311 in taxes.
Hutchison brought along a 100-plus signature petition calling for a zero percent increase, however that petition was never officially submitted into Council records.
