Special Ed Plan for Rainy-River School Board

The Rainy-River District School Board is ensuring students with special education needs are being met.
More than 16% of the entire student population in the District currently require some form of special education.
Special Education Coordinator Kevin Knutsen says they are helping these students with important life skills.
Knutsen says schools have offered such programs as student-run recycling programs, cooking classes and regular community outings for the students.
He adds they are looking at life and social skills opportunities for special needs students in the elementary level.
