The Dryden Ice Dogs are showing their support.
On their November 3rd home game against the Fort Frances Lakers, the Dogs will raise awareness for the Soldier-On Fund, a program that rehabilitates injured soldiers through sports.
General Manager Brad Boyko says the players will be wearing military jerseys to support the cause.
They will be available for pre-purchase on October 27 and October 29, and at the game for 200 dollars, and all the proceeds will go towards the Soldier-On Fund.
The opening ceremony will feature an Honour Guard, the Dryden Legion, the Oxdrift Legion, Dryden Cadets selling poppies and a demonstration by the Thunder Bay and Kenora Militia in the parking lot.
A group from the 116 Independent Field Battery, Royal Canadian Artillery and the Kenora Army Reserve will be there with information booths
