Local Residents Compete In Winnipeg Marathon

A number of locals competed in the 1st annual Winnipeg Fire Paramedic half marathon.
In the 5km event, Dryden residents Allison English placed 79th/137 in 40 minutes, Rebecca Laybourne placed 99th/137 in 45 minutes and Stephanie Dufault placed 100th/137 in 45 minutes.
In the 10km, David Williams of Sioux Lookout came in 75th/82 in 1 hour 20 minutes.
In the ½ marathon, Janet Griffiths of Ignace came was 681/790 in 2 hours 34 minutes and Andrea Joyce of Whitefish Bay was 693/790 in 2 hours 35 minutes.
