Special Weather Statement Issued

The break from the winter weather may be short lived, at least in certain communities.

A Special Weather Statement has been issued for the Sioux Lookout, Red Lake and Ear Falls regions.

Environment Canada says snowfall is expected Tuesday through Wednesday as a strong low pressure system pushes into the region.

The heavier stuff will likely be tomorrow afternoon.

Snowfall totals of 5 to 15 centimetres are expected by Wednesday evening.

Gusty winds may cause localized blowing snow and travel conditions may be difficult.
