A second half explosion for the Dryden Eagle Senior Girls Basketball team.
The Eagles rebounded from a dismal 4-point first half and put away the Beaver Brae Broncos 27-19 Wednesday at Dryden High School.
Amy Doudiet led all scorers with 8-points and says they put a little more heart and tried harder in the second half.
Doudiet notes there’s still room for improvement, especially on the defensive side.
Elisa Mawby added 6 points.
The Dryden Junior Girls dropped a 32-29 decision to the Broncos in a back and forth affair.
Selena Brosseau says they were still pleased with their effort.
Brosseau notes the team played with plenty of energy but they just couldn’t finish their shots.
Sydney Allen led the Eagles with 6 points, while Lindsay Coles added 5.
This was the first taste of regular season action for the Dryden Eagles.
