The Dryden Fire Service has some reminders as we head into some nicer weather.
Information Officer Reagan Breeze says in the spring they see a lot of human-caused fires.
No open air burning of combustibles/debris piles is allowed, no permits are issued in the City of Dryden after April 1, annually until November 1.
At no time of the year is grass or field burning allowed within the City of Dryden.
Breeze adds that it’s mandatory to have a working smoke alarm on each floor of your home or cottage, and strongly recommends installing carbon monoxide detectors.
