Did you know you have about 30 seconds to safely escape a house fire?
The Dryden Fire Service says with such a short time, having home sprinklers could help increase those odds.
However unlike in the movies, Education Officer Reagan Breeze says there are some myths on how they work.
“The sprinkler head that is activated is only activated for the fire in that area.”
Breeze also adds that sprinklers increase a person’s chance of surviving a house fire by up to 82%, combined with a working smoke alarm.
There are a number of installation services available in Dryden, and to know more about them, contact the Dryden Fire Service.
