They were judged on weight and speed and in the end St. Joseph’s School in Dryden was the winner of the Cardboard Boat Race.
The Catholic School took home gold at last Thursday’s race at the Dryden Pool.
Open Roads came in second, while Keewatin-Public School finished third.
The 3-teams now qualify for the Provincial race on February 22nd in Waterloo.
13-teams built and designed boats using cardboard, adhesive and 4-rolls of duct tape.
