St. Joseph’s School in Dryden has finally put an end to a St. Thomas Aquinas Saints championship run.
The Bulldogs captured the Grade 7/8 Girls Catholic School Basketball Championship Wednesday with a 22-18 win over the Saints.
The Kenora school had won the title the last nine years.
On the Boys side, Sioux Lookout’s Sacred Heart dropped a 38-18 decision to St. Thomas Aquinas in the Gold medal game.
