Stars Advance to the Semi’s

The SIJHL will be represented in the playoffs at the Dudley Hewitt Cup in North Bay.
5 goals in the third period lifted the Fort William First Nation Northstars past the Sault Ste. Marie Thunderbirds 7-3 yesterday afternoon.
The win lifted the Northstars to a 1-2 record and into a three way tie for the final two playoff spots.
With the tie breaking formula, the Thunderbirds were the odd team out.
Fort William takes on the host Skyhawks in the semi’s tonight at 6:00.
North Bay won the previous meeting 5-4.
Aurora has a bye into the Finals.
