The Northside Steelers and the Jackhammer’s Grillerz will face off for the 2007 Dryden Men’s Slo-pitch title after winning their series in the weekend Playoff tournament. The Steelers advanced to the finals with a thrilling two games to one win over the Dryden Merchants including a 6-5 10 innings win in game three of the Quarter-finals. The Steelers then scored a two games to none sweep of the defending champion P.I. Rippers with another one run win in game 2. The Jackhammer’s Grillerz will make their first ever league finals appearance after scoring a 2 games to none win over the Q104 Wolfpack including a 12 inning 2 run win in game 2. The Grillerz then followed up with a pair of 1 run wins over Ray Hutchison Trucking to sweep that semi-final. The third and forth seeds will meet beginning Tuesday in Vermilion Bay. Game 2 of the finals will shift back to Dryden Thursday night with game three of the finals set for Sunday back in the Bay. No other games have been scheduled in the best of 5 series.
