Harper says they will be able to create more jobs by making affordable investments, balancing the budget and keeping the tax rate down.
Harper notes the deficit was created by a large stimulus package to keep the economy strong during the 2008 recession.
He adds trade agreements are a large aspect of boosting the country’s forestry and mining sectors.
