Although the fire hazard has eased in several parts of the region, the
Ministry of Natural Resources warns we aren’t out of the woods yet.
Information Officer Debbie MacLean says 3-new fires were reported
Tuesday and notes they are expecting more.
14 fires are still considered active but under control.
MacLean says the fire hazard is still high in the southern portion of the
region and the public is asked to use caution with any outdoor fires.
Meantime, smoke from fires in Michigan may blow into our area over
the next couple of days.
Still a Threat of Forest Fires
