There’s still no firm date for the opening of the bridge linking Thunder Bay to Fort William First Nation.
The First Nation says the closure of the James Street bridge is crippling business and may force some to shut down.
Ontario Regional Chief Stan Beardy has even got involved.
CN Rail spokesperson Lindsay Fedchyshyn says engineers are still examining how safe the structure is .
She says the company understands the frustration, but the process will take at least another month.
The bridge has been closed since last year’s fire and residents and business owners on the Fort William First Nation are upset that few answers are coming.
