The Alzheimer Society of Kenora-Rainy River is holding their 11th Annual Ride for Memories this Saturday.
Acting Executive Director Rossana Tomashowski says they have about 80-riders registered so far, and are expecting another 40 to sign up. Riders will start off in Dryden, Fort Frances and Kenora and then meet up in Fort Frances for lunch. The ride finishes up in Dryden with a steak dinner and awards ceremony at the Royal Canadian Legion. Tomashowski encourages those interested to register before Friday, but says they can also do so the morning of.
The fee to sign up is $25, which includes the dinner.
Tomashowski says their goal this year is to raise $50,000 which would go to support the over 1,000 people in the Kenora-Rainy River district living with Alzheimers or a deimenta related disease.
