It could be another day or more before Hydro One customers in areas outside Kenora have their power restored.
Heavy winds last night knocked trees onto power lines leaving over 3,000 homes without electricity Monday.
Hydro One Spokesperson Danielle Gauvin says they have a number of crews working in the area trying to restore power.
Grassy Narrows and Shoal Lake were just two of the communities effected.
About 1,500 Hydro One customers in Northwestern Ontario are still without power.
